On 4 April 2025, the hotel will be handed over to the 14th generation in Dwingeloo. Mark Bergmans and Annemarie Bergmans-Wesseling are proud to hand over Hotel & Restaurant Wesseling and Grand Café de Brink to Fleur Zandhuis-Bergmans and Koen Zandhuis.
The rich history of Hotel Wesseling
Hotel & Restaurant Wesseling has been a family business since 1662 and is firmly rooted in the history of Drenthe. Located on the picturesque Brink in Dwingeloo, the hotel has developed from an inn to a modern hotel-restaurant in over 350 years.

Originating as Koning Brewery in 1662, the 13th generation of Wesseling releases its own full-bodied blonde beer with fermentation in the bottle called WESSELING'S 1662 ‘Perfect Blonde’.
1662 perfect blonde (7%) is a tasty beer for bon vivants. Its fruity aroma, pleasant bitterness and round finish bring history to life and make time stand still for a moment.
Not only available on tap at the Hotel, but also bottled for home at €2.50 per bottle. In a 4-pack or in a unique crate of 16 bottles, with its own glassware and beer mats.
